چکیده

Background: Human neutrophil peptide-1 (HNP-1) is a commonly investigated therapeutic agent. However, its role in hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy (HLVH) remains unclear. Methods: We measured HNP-1 levels patients with hypertension and treated HLVH rat H9c2 cell models HNP-1. Cardiomyocyte indexes (i.e., single-cell surface area, fibrosis BNP levels, β-MHC levels) were hematoxylin-eosin Masson’s trichrome staining WB. NF-кB signaling factors IKKβ, p-IKKβ, IкBα, p-IкBα, p65, p-p65) WB qPCR. Finally, inflammatory IL-6, IL-1α, TNF-α) ELISA. Results: lower the exposure than control groups (M (95% CI), 48.83 (45.64–52.26) vs. 59.03 (55.62–62.54), P = 0.000). Diminished was associated occurrence patients. revealed elevated cardiomyocyte factors. each treatment group showed of aforementioned indices observed model groups. Conclusion: risk factor for HLVH. may reverse by inhibiting pathways.

Detection of hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy.

The risk of adverse cardiovascular events is higher in persons with electrocardiographic evidence of left ventricular hypertrophy, and the decision to treat patients with antihypertensive drugs is often determined by the presence of hypertrophy. In this study a number of electrocardiographic criteria for detection of left ventricular hypertrophy were applied to a population of 85 hypertensive s...

Reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy by propranolol in hypertensive rats.

BACKGROUND Hypertension contributes significantly to the development of left ventricular hypertrophy. Left ventricular hypertrophy is associated with increased incidence of sudden cardiac death. Recognition and management of hypertension is, therefore, imperative. OBJECTIVE To establish whether propranolol can reverse left ventricular hypertrophy in hypertensive rats. METHODS Hypertension w...

Traditional Chinese medicine suppresses left ventricular hypertrophy by targeting extracellular signal-regulated kinases signaling pathway in spontaneously hypertensive rats

Chinese herbal medicine Bu-Shen-Jiang-Ya decoction (BSJYD) is reported to be beneficial for hypertension. Over expression of extracellular signal regulated kinases (ERK) pathway plays an important role in left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH). This study aimed to observe effects of BSJYD on LVH in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) and explore its possible mechanism on regulation of ERK pathwa...

colorectal cancer and nf-?b signaling pathway

colorectal cancer (crc) is the second leading cause of cancer death. progress has been made in the development of chemotherapy for advanced crc. targeted therapies against vegf or egfr are now commonly used. however, many cases show that tolerance develops to such treatments; therefore, new strategies are required to replace or complement current therapies. nuclear factor-?b (nf-?b) transcripti...
